On Thursday night we went to Sarah's for supper. Lily talked to Grandma on the phone before we left, and promptly told her, "We can't come to your house tonight, Grandma. We are going to your other daughter's house, the one that's having twins." Grandma Iris was floored, as she hadn't said a word about coming to her house, and it's not like she has a ton of daughters either!
Roy and I had to work yesterday, so Mom & Dad (Grandma & Papa) watched the kids. I called over lunch and talked to Aaron first.
Aaron: "We're watching the St. Patrick's Day parade. We're in Chicago, and we took a plane here. We'll be home later though."
Me: "How did I call you on Grandma's home phone if you're in Chicago?"
Aaron: "She brought the phone with us."
Then Lillian gets on the phone:
Lillian: "He is LYING Mommy! We are NOT in Chicago, we're watching the parade on TV!"
I think sarcasm runs in the family.
